Cumulative Real Estate Transactions Hit $3,702.96M by August 2026

According to the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (LRC), the cumulative number of real estate (RE) transactions reached 34,083, valued at $3,702.96M by August 2026. This valuation is calculated at the new official rate of USD/LBP 89,500, effective from February 1st, 2024.

Real estate transactions reached 5,145 deals in August 2026, with a total value of $496.84 This marks a 11.64% annual decrease, similarly, recording a 3.07% decrease on a monthly basis. Beirut captured the largest share of transaction value at 23.54% ($116M), followed by Baabda with 19.47% ($96.7M), then Metn with 17.97% ($89.2M).

The annual decline in real estate transactions in August 2026 reflects the adverse impact of the renewed Israel-Hezbollah conflict, which heightened uncertainty, weakened investor confidence. Moreover, the slight monthly decrease indicates that real estate activity remained subdued amid continued market uncertainty.
