Lackluster Performance on the Beirut Stock Exchange for the 3rd Consecutive Session

The Lebanese Bourse had a poor showing on Monday, as the real estate sector continued its downward performance for the 3rd session running. Accordingly, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) declined by 0.23% today to 1,135.12 points, broadening its year-to-date loss to 3.00%. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” declined 0.61% and 2.26% to end up at respective quotes of $9.74 and $9.50.  In the banking sector, Byblos preferred shares 2008 lost 0.79% to settle at $100.20, while BLOM preferred shares 2011 gained 0.10% to close the session at $10.16. Meanwhile, Byblos listed and preferred shares 2009 and BLOM GDR shares traded with no change in price.
