Lackluster Showing on the Lebanese Bourse on Tuesday

The Lebanese Bourse witnessed a poor performance today mainly due to four out of seven traded stocks ending the session in the red. Worth mentioning, the number of shares traded fell to 79,496 worth $1.2M compared to 200,076 shares worth $1.9M on Monday. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) dropped by 0.31% to 1,163.80 points, broadening its year-to-date loss to 0.55%. In the banking sector, BLOM GDR shares declined by 0.90% to $9.91 while Byblos preferred shares 2009 registered a 1.37% drop to settle at $100.60. In contrast, Byblos preferred shares 2008 gained 0.40% to reach $101.00. Meanwhile, the listed shares of Byblos and Audi traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere A and B shares fell by a 0.56% and 2.23% to close the session at $10.69 and $10.51, respectively.
