Lebanese Bourse Continued its Lackluster Performance on Wednesday

Ahead of the Adha holiday the Lebanese Bourse had a poor showing on Wednesday on the back of 4 out of the 8 traded shares ending in the red. Accordingly, The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) declined by 0.39% today to 1,136.63 points following the trade of 51,682 shares worth $438,515. Furthermore, The BSI registered a 2.87% year-to-date decrease, and a 2.63% drop from its value a year ago. In the banking sector, Byblos listed and preferred shares 2008 and Audi GDR shares declined by 1.23%, 0.40% and 5.00% to $1.60, $100.30 and $5.70, respectively.  In contrast, Audi preferred class “H” gained 0.30% to $101.00. Meanwhile, BLOM Bank listed shares and BEMO preferred 2013 shares traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” declined by 0.39% to settle at $10.21, while “B” shares added 1.98% to $10.30.
