Lebanese Bourse Ends the Week’s Last Session in the Red

Despite higher trading activity, the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) revealed a poor performance on Friday, mainly due to 5 out of 7 stocks ending the session in the red. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) decreased by 0.18% to 1,142.69 points following the trade of 293,023 shares worth $3,32M compared to 88,962 shares worth $899,768. In the banking sector, BLOM Bank listed shares and each of Byblos Bank’s listed and preferred 09 shares lost 0.53%, 0.62% and 0.40%, to respectively close at $9.40, $1.60, and $100.50. In contrast, Bank Audi GDRs and preferred shares class “H” gained 0.33% and 0.30% to end the session at $6.00 and $101.30, respectively. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” lost 0.30% and 0.51% to close at respective prices of $10.02 and $9.85.
