M3 Recorded $66.8 Billion as of January 29, 2026

BDL’s latest statistics on money supply revealed that Broad Money (M3) decreased by LBP 12,506.66 billion to stand at LBP 5,978,644 billion ($66.8 billion) by the week ending January 29th, 2026. M3 decreased by 3.77% year-over-year and by 0.5% year to date (YTD).
In detail, M1 expanded by LBP 2,132.26 billion during the week of 23 to 29 January 2026, due to an increase in demand deposits of LBP 2,446.74 billion, despite a decrease in currency in circulation of LBP 314.48 billion.
In turn, total deposits (excluding Demand deposits) rose by LBP 10,374.4 billion ($115.92 million), owing to an increase in term and saving deposits by LBP 344.19 billion during the week, and an increase in deposits denominated in foreign currencies by USD 112.07 million compared to the previous week.
As such, the rate of broad money dollarization decreased slightly from 97.559% in the week ending January 22, 2026 to 97.522% in the week ending January 29, 2026.
