M3 Recorded to $67.26 Billion as of December 18, 2025
BDL’s latest statistics on money supply revealed that Broad Money (M3) decreased by LBP 2,540.59 billion to stand at LBP 6,020,093 billion ($67.26 billion) by the week ending December 18th, 2025. M3 decreased by 2.96% year-over-year and by 2.16% year to date (YTD).
In details, M1 expanded by LBP 1,171.72 billion during the week of 12 to 18 December 2025, due to an increase in demand deposits of LBP 1,587.98 billion, despite a decrease in currency in circulation of LBP 416.26 billion.
In turn, total deposits (excluding Demand deposits) dropped by LBP 1,368.87 billion ($15.29 million), owing to a decline in term and saving deposits by LBP 74.50 billion during the week and a decrease in deposits denominated in foreign currencies by USD 16.13 million compared to the previous week.
As such, the rate of broad money dollarization slightly decreased slightly from 97.637% in the week ending December 11th, 2025 to 97.620% in the week ending December 18th, 2025.
