Mixed Performance on the Lebanese Bourse Today Ahead of Protest

Following the political dialogue that took place yesterday, the Beirut Stock Exchange witnessed disparate performance and ended the session with a marginal improvement. In fact, and ahead of today’s demonstrations, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) barely moved up by 0.01% to 1,145.14 points following the trade of 168,731 shares worth $1.52M, registering a year-to-date loss of 2.15% .In the banking sector, Bank Audi GDR shares declined by 1.33% to end up at $5.94 while Byblos Bank listed shares increased by 0.63% to $1.61. Meanwhile, 126,906 BLOM Bank listed shares were cross traded at their previous quote of $9.40.  In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” gained 0.50% to settle at $10.11 while Solidere class “B” shares declined by 0.10% to $10.00. In the industrial sector, Holcim shares exchanged hands with no change in price.
