Negative Performance of the Real Estate Sector Held Back the Lebanese Bourse’s Progress

For the fourth session running the Lebanese Bourse has witnessed below 100K traded shares per session with Today’s level reaching 48,250 worth $639,705. In parallel, The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) lost 0.23% on Tuesday to 1,149.96 points. The BSI registered a 1.74% down tick since the start of the year, and a 3.00% decline from its value a year ago. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” and “B” shares dropped by 0.97% and 1.06% to end the trading session at $10.19 and $10.28, respectively.  In the banking sector, Byblos Bank listed shares declined by 0.61% to close the session at $1.63, while Bank Audi preferred shares class “F” gained 0.10% to end up at $100.60. Meanwhile, BLOM GDRs and preferred shares 2011, Bank of Beirut preferred shares class “E” and Bank Audi GDR shares traded with no change in price.In the industrial sector, HOLCIM shares augmented by 0.07% to $15.00.
