The cumulative activity at Rafic Hariri International Airport declined by 27.63% year on year to 2,745,958 travelers by July 2026, reflecting the impact of the renewed conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which disrupted travel demand and airline activity despite the ceasefire announced in mid-April. Total arrivals reached 1,444,285, down by 30.38% year on year, while departures fell by 24.32% to 1,300,826. Meanwhile, transit passengers increased by 64.68% year on year to 2,266, albeit from a low base.

On a monthly basis, airport activity rebounded, with total passengers increasing by 63.53% compared to June 2026. The improvement was driven by the gradual resumption of flight operations and improved travel conditions following the easing of hostilities, as well as the peak of the summer season which boosted demand and activity. Consequently, arrivals rose by 72.00%, departures increased by 52.06%, and transit passengers grew by 47.54%.
