Poor Performance Characterized the Lebanese Bourse Today

The Lebanese Bourse ended in the red today as the real estate sector depicted a poor performance. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) declined by 0.71% to 1,183.74 points, narrowing its year-to-date gains to 1.55%. In the real estate sector, Solidere class “A” and “B” shares declined by 3.19% and 1.96% to $11.54 and $11.48, respectively. In the banking sector, GDR shares of Bank Audi, and BLOM Bank listed shares decreased by respective amounts of 1.31% and 1.03% to close the session at $6.01 and $9.60. Worth mentioning, 643,017 BLOM listed shares were cross traded. In addition, Byblos Bank preferred shares 2009 dropped by 0.20% to $100.70 while its listed shares gained 0.62% to end up at $1.62.
