Real Estate Sector Holds Back the Lebanese Bourse Today

The Lebanese Bourse closes in the red today today on the back of a poor performance in the real estate sector. Accordingly, The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) decreased by 0.04% on Thursday to 1,144.76 points following the trade of 88,962 shares worth $899,768. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” declined by 0.99% to close the session at $10.05 while its class “B” shares also fell by 1.30% to $9.90, the lowest level since Hariri’s assassination in 2005. In the banking sector, Audi GDRs and listed shares gained 0.50% and 0.67% to settle at $5.98 and $5.99, respectively. Meanwhile, listed shares of Bank of Beirut and Byblos and GDRs of BLOM traded with no change in price.
