Relatively Positive Trading Day on the Lebanese Bourse

Trading activity on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) improved as 176,491 shares were traded worth $2.01M compared to 79,301 shares traded worth $782,946 on Wednesday.  The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) went up by 0.12% to 1,174.14 points, broadening its year-to-date gains to 0.33%. In the banking sector, Audi listed shares gained 0.84% to settle at $6.00 while Byblos preferred shares 2008 lost 0.10% to close the session at $101.00. Meanwhile, BLOM listed shares, Audi preferred shares class “G” shares and Bank of Beirut preferred shares class “H” traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” augmented by 0.18% to $11.09 while its “B” shares dropped by 2.93% to reach $10.92. In the industrial sector, Holcim shares rose by 5.96% to end up at $16.00.
