Small Trades on the Beirut Stock Exchange Today
The Lebanese Bourse ended inthe green as 8 out of the 12 traded stocks showed increases in prices. Accordingly, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) illustrated a 0.99% ascent to 1,174.08 points, registering a year to date gain of 0.33%. In the banking sector, listed shares of Bank Audi and Byblos Bank improved by 2.92% and 1.88% to settle at respective quotes of $6.00 and $1.63. In addition, the GDR shares of the BLOM and Audi augmented by 1.00% and 2.00% to close the session at $10.10 and $6.12, respectively. In contrast, BLOM’s listed shares and Byblos Bank preferred shares 2008 lost 0.11% and 0.39% to $9.50 and $101.10, respectively. As for the preferred shares classes “I” and “J” relating to Bank of Beirut, they increased by 0.98% and 1.58% to close the session at the same quote of $25.75. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares “A” progressed by 0.91% to $11.10 while its “B” shares declined by 0.18% to end up at $11.06. In the industrial sector, Holcim shares up ticked by 0.67% to $15.10.
