The Beirut Stock Exchange Ends Wednesday Session in the Green

Despite the heightening regional tensions, trading on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) managed to post a positive performance on Wednesday. This was reflected by the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) that gained 0.97% to 1,186.63 points. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” shares declined by 0.64% to $10.83, while its “B” counterpart traded at its previous closing price of $10.85. As for the banking sector, Audi listed and GDR shares edged up by 5.07% and 2.99% to close at $6.42 and $6.90, respectively. In contrast, Byblos listed shares and BLOM GDRs displayed respective downticks of 0.60% and 0.40% to $1.66 and $9.96, respectively. However, both of Bank of Beirut preferred “H” and “I” shares traded without any change in price.
