The Beirut Stock Exchange Improved Following Yesterday’s Positive Political Discussions

The progress denoted on the Lebanese political scene, managed to boost the Lebanese Bourse performance today for the 2nd session running. However, trading volume eased from 182,789 traded shares worth $1.70M to 34,406 traded shares worth $341,057. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) gained 0.58% on Friday to 1,143.74 points (highest level since mid-October) following the trade of 34,406 shares worth $341,057. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” improved by 2.12% and 0.81% to end the session at respective levels of $10.13 and $10.00, respectively. In the banking sector, Byblos preferred shares 2009, Audi GDR and listed shares progressed by 1.59%, 1.69% and 0.85% to settle at $102.50, $6.00 and $5.95, respectively.
