The Lebanese Bourse Ended in the Green Despite Slow Trading Session

Activity on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) was frail today with only 79,043 traded shares worth $1.06M noting that 2 out of the 6 traded stocks ended in the green while the rest traded with no change in price. Accordingly, The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) gained 0.10% on Monday to 1,152.63 points, registering a 1.61% loss since the start of the year, and a 2.94% decline from its value a year ago. In the banking sector, Byblos preferred shares 2008 gained 0.50% to settle at $101.00. Meanwhile, Bank of Beirut preferred shares class “E”, Bank Audi GDR shares, BLOM Bank listed and preferred shares 2011 exchanged hands at their previous quotes.  In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” shares increased by 0.88% to end the trading session at $10.29.
