The Beirut Bourse Remained Relatively Stagnant Today

The Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) remained relatively stable today, as the BLOM stock Index (BSI) slightly up ticked by 0.0015% to close at 1,201.79 points, while registering a 2.69% increase year-to-date. In the banking sector, Bank Byblos Preferred class 2008 and Bank Audi Preferred class “H” shares lost 1.37% and 2.91% to settle at $101.10 and $100.00, respectively. In contrast, Bank Audi listed traded with no change in price. Worth mentioning that Bank Audi released today its consolidated financial statements, where profits accounted to $100M in Q1 2015, 17% higher than that of Q1 2014. In the real estate sector, Solidere class “B” shares gained 0.72% to close the session at $11.14 while its “A” shares traded with no change in price. In the industrial sector, HOLCIM shares also traded at their previous quote.
