Real Estate Transactions Up Yearly by 33.93% by December 2021

According to the data from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (LRC), the number of Real estate (RE) transactions which may include one or more realties, went up by a yearly 33.93% to stand at 110,094 transactions by December 2021. In its turn, the value of total RE transactions stood at $15,550.46M by December 2021, compared to $14,386.58M in the same period last year, up by 8.09%.

On a monthly basis, the number of RE transactions stood at 16,440 in the month of December 2021, compared to 13,391 transactions in December 2020. For instance, a substantial 3,033 transactions, or 18.45% of total RE transactions, were concentrated in the region of the Baabda alone in the month of December 2021. Meanwhile, North, South and Keserwan, each grasped the respective shares of 14.29%, 13.76%, 9.30% of the total RE activity in December 2021.

Moreover, the breakdown of RE activity regionally for December 2021 showed that Beirut grasped the lion’s share of the total value of RE transactions, equivalent of 28.09% and worth $611.89M, while Metn and Keserwan followed, constituting 16.04% and 11.20% of the total, each worth $349.43M and $243.95M, respectively.
