According to the data from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (LRC), the cumulative number of Real estate (RE) transactions reached 16,390 valued at $1,896M by June 2024, calculated at the new official rate of USD/LBP 89,500 starting February 1st, 2024.
On a monthly basis, the number of RE transactions stood at 3,440 in the month of June 2024, compared to 3,589 transactions in May 2024 and 871 transactions in June 2023. In details, North region holds the biggest share of real estate transactions at 709, or 20.61% of total RE transactions, followed by Keserwan region at 707 transactions or 20.55% of total RE transactions. Furthermore, South region grasped 17.15% of total RE activity in June 2024 while Beirut held 369 transactions or 10.73%. Noting that no RE transaction were recorded in the areas of Metn and Baabda for the month of June 2024. Moreover, the value of Real estate transaction reached $259.62M in June 2024 out of which Beirut grasped the lion’s share of the total value, equivalent of 34.33% and worth $89M, while Keserwan followed, constituting 30.46% of the total and worth $79M.
