Despite heavier trading, the Lebanese bourse barely changed from yesterday’s session. In this context, the volume of traded shares rose on Thursday by 10.6% to 560,468 worth $5.55M, compared to 507,000 valued at 4.20M. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) down ticked by 0.002% to 1,185.56 points, recording a year-to-date gain of 1.31%. The banking sector constituted 95.41% of total traded value on the back of 500,165 BLOM Bank listed shares being cross traded. In details, BLOM Bank common and GDR shares respectively gained 0.32% and 0.50% to $9.53 and $10.05. In addition, Byblos Bank preferred 2009 shares increased by 0.20% to settle at $100.30. Meanwhile, Byblos Bank preferred 2008 and BLOM Bank preferred 2011 shares lost 1.38% and 0.10% to $100.30 and $10.10, respectively. Byblos Bank listed shares exchanged hands with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere class “A” shares augmented by 0.09% to close the session at $11.44 while the class “B” shares edged down by 0.87% to $11.34.
