Lebanon’s Balance of Payments registered a deficit of $1.12B during the first 6 months of the year compared to a deficit of $1.77B by June 2017. Over the same period, BDL’s Net Foreign Assets (NFA) decreased by $346.6M while commercial banks’ NFAs increased by $769M.
In June alone, the BoP posted a deficit of $758M. In details, BDL’s NFAs increased by $1.77M and commercial banks’ NFAs decreased by $2.52B.
