Lebanese Bourse Started the week in the Red

During the first session of the week, the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) experienced a lackluster performance. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) declined by 0.22% on Monday to 1,128.69 points following the trade of 171,965 shares worth $1,369,395. In the banking sector, GDRs of BLOM and of Audi lost 0.21% and 0.34% to end up at respective quotes of $9.60 and $5.95. In contrast, the listed shares of Byblos and BEMO gained 1.25% and 22.58% to close the session at $1.62 and $1.90, respectively. Meanwhile, BLOM preferred shares 2011 and Bank of Beirut preferred shares class “H” were traded with no change in price.  In the real estate sector, Solidere shares classes “A” and “B” had another poor showing, declining by 3.02% and 2.88% to settle at $9.30 and $9.12, respectively.
