Rafic Hariri International Airport (RHIA) activity progressed during the first 10 months of 2015, where the total number of passengers increased by 9.93% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 6.12M. The number of arrivals grew by 9.38% to 2.97M, while departures rose by a yearly 9.92% to 3.12M by October. Furthermore, the number of transit travelers surged from 11,720, to 28,192, over the same period.
Taking the month of October alone, the total number of airport passengers added 4.73% yearly to reach 575,660. Arrivals increased by 2.18% y-o-y to 264,940, and departures jumped 4.94% y-o-y amounting to 303,679. Transit travelers surged from 1,025 last year to 7,041 in October 2015.
