Weak Activity on the Lebanese Stock Exchange This Week  

The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) recorded a weekly an uptick of 0.97% to 758.59 points by November 08, 2019.

Regionally, the S&P Pan Arab Composite Large MidCap Index and the S&P AFE40 registered weekly inclines of 0.59% and 0.73%, respectively. Respectively, the MSCI Emerging Markets Index recorded a weekly increase of 3.03%.

The region’s top gainer this week was the bourse of Egypt and Qatar which registered the respective upticks of 13.63% and 0.84%, respectively. Nonetheless, the biggest losers over the week were those of UAE and Bahrain, as they respectively fell by weekly rates of 1.75% and 0.32%, respectively,

On the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE), the banking sector accounted for almost the majority of the traded value with a share of 72.58%.  The real estate and industrial sectors accounted for the remaining share of 25% and 2.42%, respectively.

On the London Stock Exchange, BLOM GDR shares and Audi GDR shares dropped by 20.21% and 26.90% to end the week at $3 and $2.12.

As for the Blom Preferred shares Index (BPSI), it remains the same at 78.73 points.

In the real estate sector, Solidere A and Solidere B shares recorded a weekly increase by 6.11% and 16.63% to stand at $5.04 and $5.54, respectively.
