Low Activity on the Lebanese Bourse Two Days Running

The Lebanese Bourse showed poor trading activity despite four out of the six traded stocks ending in the green. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) went up by 0.69% to 1,176.31 points following the trade of 34,402 shares worth $330,682. The BSI registered a 0.52% up tick since the start of the year, and a 2.14% decline from its value a year ago. In the real estate sector, Solidere A and B shares increased by 1.36%  and 3.01% to settle at $11.17 and $11.29, respectively.  In the banking sector, listed shares of BLOM Bank and Bank Audi augmented by 0.95% and 1.52% to close the session at respective quotes of $9.60 and $6.00. In contrast, BLOM Bank GDR shares lost 0.89% to end up at $10.00.
