According to the Ministry of Finance, transfers to EDL reached $386.43M up to April 2015, significantly lower than the $731.84M over the same period in 2014.

Excluding EDL’s debt service, the reimbursements for the purchase of gas and fuel from the two suppliers KPC and Sonatrach were slashed by nearly a half from $645.59M by March last year to $378.89M up to April 2015. Out of the government’s primary expenditures of $3.24B up to April 2015, EDL transfers represented a share of 11.9% compared to a share of 23.7% by April 2014.
