The activity at Beirut International Airport improved with the total number of passengers recording an annual uptick of 4.43% to reach 2.57M travelers during the first four months of 2019.
In fact, the improved activity came on the back of a yearly 4.03% uptick in the number of departures, to reach 1.29M passengers by Apr. 2019. Meanwhile, the number of arrivals climbed by an annual 1.93% to stand at 1.24M passengers over the same period.
In turn, the number of transit passengers hit 36,862 travelers by Apr. 2019, compared to 1,354 in the same period last year. This is largely attributed to the detailed transit input that airlines are required to submit to Beirut Airport since January 2019.
