Real Estate Transactions Up Yearly by 32.14% by October 2021

According to the data from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (LRC), the number of Real estate (RE) transactions which may include one or more realties, went up by a yearly 32.14% to stand at 82,946 transactions by October 2021. In its turn, the value of total RE transactions stood at $11,947.31M by October 2021, compared to $11,299.66M in the same period last year, up by 5.73%.

On a monthly basis, the number of RE transactions stood at 11,366 in the month of October 2021, compared to 7,655 transactions in October 2020. For instance, a substantial 2,542 transactions, or 16.49% of total RE transactions, were concentrated in the region of the Baabda alone in the month of October 2021. Meanwhile, Metn, South and Keserwan, each grasped the respective shares of 13.47%, 11.01%, 11.86% of the total RE activity in October 2021.

Moreover, the breakdown of RE activity regionally for October 2021 showed that Beirut grasped the lion’s share of the total value of RE transactions, equivalent of 26.59% and worth $372.69M, while Baabda and Metn followed, constituting 16.49% and 13.47% of the total, each worth $348.52M and $284.65M, respectively.
