Lebanon’s Balance of Payments registered a $159.7M Deficit in January 2020

According to the Central Bank of Lebanon, Lebanon’s Balance of Payments (BoP) witnessed a deficit of $159.7M in January 2020 as compared to the $1,379.7M deficit recorded during the same period in 2019. In details, the Net Foreign Assets (NFA) of BDL slipped by $612.8M while the NFA of commercial banks rose by 454.9M. Worth mentioning that during the same period last year, NFA of BDL and Commercial Banks dropped by 395M and 984.6M, respectively.
